Tempting, but Avs aren't trading Byram. Drop him and Romanov out of that deal. Maybe we could add another mid pick and/or prospect. Does that get it done?

I don’t think Nelson is the guy we’d trade byram for he’s too old to re-sign. If Nelson was available though there wouldn’t be any non roster player off the table

COL isn’t trading Byram and Ritchie, take out Byram, Romanov and Ritchie, throw in Behrens or Gulyayev and the Avs consider.

I think Ritchie is off the table for any non legit under term 2C, the kid is looking more and more like a steal.

LA declines.

Clarke isn’t going anywhere.

Also Dubois is staying. He’s been very good since the break.

hes a DY+1 doing well in the OHl thats pretty common. deeming him untouchable is just stupid imo

For a guy as old as Nelson with only one year left, he's definitely not being traded for that

For the next 2 years having an elite 2C who’s gonna give us 30 goals I don’t think he’s off the table. We’d need to win a cup though or we’d be in trouble

Gives us our best chance at a cup the next 2 season though before mikkos next extension makes everything that much tighter. I don’t think Ritchie would be the make or break for getting Nelson

Edit: to be clear I wouldn’t trade byram for him but a package around Ritchie would absolutely be on the table for me

I would think that if Pulock was available for a package like that the Jets would do it, if something similar to this was proposed to Chevy and he didn't jump on it he's a moron, yes I realize Pulock would need to waive which is unlikely.

The most I'd give for Clutterbuck is a 4th, not a 3rd.

Ultimately I don't see the Islanders trading Pulock anytime soon.

Don't see the Avs or Kings doing that.

if the isles trade nelson, then yeah it'd probably be something like that. but they're probably not. and i figured that the avs wouldn't wanna trade byram, but knew romanov would be an interesting piece to add (and would be seeling high, probably on him)

Avalanche and Kings decline, and you have no business trading Pulock now that he's signed to that contract.

Pulock hasn’t had a good year but I think the oilers have to take that and hope for a rebound

I’d kick in any other prospect or even another 1st before Ritchie, because the window isn’t just 2 years with MacK Makar Mikko Toews Nichushkin Landeskog Colton Wood Girard/Byram they absolutely need a couple of young guys that they can feasibly see slide into the top 9 on on cheap deals and he is the only center of any note in the system.

His D+1 is doing a whole lot more than well he’s 3rd in the league in PPG and considering his draft position was impacted by him playing hurt had surgery and is now lighting it up is exactly what COL hoped when they drafted him. COL isn’t in the position that TBL has been MacK, Mikko, Makar, Nichushkin, Byram, Girard are all still in their 20’s, having a least one center capable of sliding into the top 9 in the next year or two is pretty important especially considering Mikko is getting an extension. For me I’d rather kick in another 1st rd pick than Ritchie in any trade that wasn’t a 3 year 2C solution. But that’s just me and I value centers more than any other position beside a franchise 1D.

Okay and?
Im not denying he is a good prospect just that you cant get good players without giving up good assets. If you want a top 30C you need to give up a top prospect. Plus hes supposed to be dominating the OHL as a DY+1... thats how it works

And literally I said under the right circumstances I would I even said I would kick in more picks, what was so difficult to understand about that?
