Value wise NJD are way out on pure talent this year by trading Meier for these players. This is basically giving Meier for a couple of Depth.

However for MTL it makes no sense if NJD do not take Anderson or Gallagher in this deal, The rebuild in MTL won't need this huge contract.

Timo hasn't worked out in Jersey, Armia is providing just as much value as Timo since he was traded to Jersey last. Savard is a proven playoff performer and stanley cup winner. Jersey can have all these guys who Contribute come playoff time for two playoff runs for close to the same amount of money as Timo makes.

Timo is not performing like a 9 million dollar player and he has 7 more seasons to go.

You put up a good argument for a trade that still gets turned down by NJ. Solves more problem for the Habs than it does for NJ.

He was playing injured for another 15 or so games where his skating was significantly impacted. His production in those games was awful.
