Never mind any qualitative differences -- why would Toronto want to exchange 28 games of Brodie for 28 games of Dumba, with the attendant loss of familiarity and residual sense of commitment? For that matter, why would Arizona, with no chance at the playoffs and the most economically insecure team in the League, want to exchange 27 games of Dumba for 27 games of Brodie and increase their actual financial burden so significantly?
McBain for one of the forwards and a third is probably fine, so you're left with three more seasons of Lawson Crouse for a first, a third and the other young forward -- not enough, in my mind.
