i would pull one bruin off, and add a different one. JVR has played well this season, but i think the offensive production is more a product of him just being put in the right spot. i wouldn't call him underrated, maybe overperforming? The one I would add is McAvoy. Of course, a lot of people know he's good, but I don't think enough fans realize he's the bruins best player by a mile. No, Pasta isn't close.

i would have vatrano and laine in the overrated camp.

maybe what you think of as rated appropriately he thinks is underrated....which is kind of the whole point of overrated/underrated, right?

there was never a series against the leafs where carlo was the best player on his own team let alone best player in the series

myself and bob mckenzie disagree. pretty sure it was 2019. Actually, might have been 2018. There are just so many series to choose from where boston beat toronto.

I mean, Bergeron was clearly the best player in the series in two of them and Chara the other, but hey, I guess three is a high number and too many results to track for some people

i actually think it was 2018 come to think of it. i know its tough to keep track of things that aren't on the stat sheet, but hey, i'm sure you're smarter than bob mckenzie. that's definitely what your reputation is

Ton of these guys aren't underrated. First LW you have Laine, a guy who makes close to 9 million mostly based on his reputation rather than his performance. Wouldn't call that underrated.

Bratt, Tarasenko, Pietrangelo, Toews, Carlo and Varlamov all get decent acclaim.

nope, he said it was Bergeron, even drew up a chart to show his decision making, right on TSN

yeah, it's almost like I'm making a point that something you half remember bob mackenzie saying from 4+ years ago is not insurmountable proof that a guy was the best player in a series and by that it doesnt translate to him being under rated now.

i still see in Laine guy who can score 50goals in every season but is stuck in Columbus, best spot for him is Carolina with Aho and Teravainen

Heh. Thomas is more underrated than every forward on the list except maybe Bratt. Meanwhile, Suzuki is overrated, especially around here.
