      I can't decide which seems more wrong: the idea that Swayman would sign for 4.5m AAV, or the idea that the Bruins would trade away Swayman for only one guaranteed year of Chychrun. You'd need to offer more than just Chychrun.

      For the record, I think Swayman signs for at least 6m on his next deal. And whoever signs him will probably want to lock him up to at least some term. I fully expect that team to be the Bruins, but anyone is available for the right price.

      is that a joke? just raw player value swayman is head and shoulders above chychrun, but then factor in contract. at this stage, chychrun is a rental. ottawa would need to add multiple firsts.

      but it's just a no. boston isn't trading swayman for a guy that wouldn't even be their best LD.

      I wasn't sure how much to give him I was thinking 5-6 but I could see 7-8 if he pops off

      Comparing the difference from buying out Korpisalo this summer vs next summer, the difference is totally negligible. Makes WAY more sense in my opinion to buy out Korpisalo now, and run with Forsberg who is the much better goalie and only has one year left anyway. It's much cleaner, and the Sens will get better results from Forsberg.
