Do they do it?

Who needs a goaltender that isn't on his 16 team NTC?

What is the return?

According to Friedman and Marek they're looking for a center and defensemen.

Surely you don't think Ullmark gets you Travis Konecny

Laine is still in the PAP with no timeline for return, he may be done for the season. Besides, I doubt Ullmark extend or fits our timeline, so Columbus isn't the team to target for an Ullmark move. If you're looking for a center or defenseman, Roslovic and Provorov could both be had.

I think Norris will be the one shopped for a goalie. Pinto is a huge part of the future imo. The team just plays differently with him in the lineup, and they've hardly ever lost when he gets a point. I can't imagine a Norris deal coming together at the deadline though, it'd need to be in the offseason. And I'm unsure if trading a 24 year old C for a 30 year old goalie is the right move. Something needs to change for Ottawa in net, and Chychrun and Norris are the two obvious candidates to be moved for a big deal.

OTT and CBJ are on his list.

Philly - Laughton or Frost more realistic targets

so they're looking for a center or d man and you list three wingers and a center?

I don't think Ullmark is being moved. I think a depth center and a solid d man are the targets. none of this.

Ottawa would never move that much value for Ullmark. Trading for Ullmark is calling to be fleeced and on a guy so close to free agency

I don't really think the difference in getting a top 6 wing or getting a center to move Zacha to the wing is that big.

Bruins don't have cap or assets, how are you getting anything other than league minimum without moving someone out?

uhhhh there's a pretty big difference between going after a winger and a center when you need a center.

when did i say the bruins weren't going to move someone out? i just said i don't think they move ullmark.

the bruins have plenty of assets that can be traded for help at the deadline.

I don't think they NEED a center. Their bottom six needs to be above 50% at the dot, but if you move money out and can recall Beecher that solves that problem.

The top 6 needs another scorer, not really a center. At least someone who can get JDB going, or help out March and Coyle. JVR and Heinen are fine but definitely not top 6 guys.

Were reports that Ottawa tried to trade for Ullmark before signing Korpisalo contingent on a DeBrincat deal with Detroit for last years second first round pick. I’m not sure if anything else was going back to Detroit there or if it was a complete story.

I’m not sure who passed between Detroit or Ullmark.

they already have that guy. it's frederic. i think a depth center that allows frederic to move into the top six solves most issues. lets say they go after hanifin. getting 50% retention and moving Forbort in that transcation creates enough room to either call up beecher or grab a depth center
