Fair enough... Sounded reasonable in my head, but I'm new to this, so I could be way off

Welcome to CapFriendly!

Unfortunately you’ll take quite some heat while on this site.

As far as the trade, it probably doesn’t make sense for Vancouver. Vatrano is a good piece that Vancouver could target, but obviously not at the price of Pettersson.

Lybushkin is a depth price so that won’t do much. And Perrault is considered a bust now.

Vatrano is not as good as his points lead you to believe. Career 35-40pt guy. Booshkin stinks, pending UFA, worthless. Y'all don't even need a center unless you wanted to give up Strome or Carlson? I don't get it

Thank you for the welcome and the information. I am going to be totally open to constructive criticism from people because I'm not an expert. I'm here to learn more about fair deal trades and different teams prospects since I mostly still only know the names of players in the Ducks organization. I have aspirations of running my own sports blog and I figure this will be a nice place for fun interaction and to learn more than I already know.

I’ll go easy since it’s your first post

A realistic offer to get the Canucks to move Pettersson in the division would ideally include Carlsson or McTavish as the main piece. I know that’s unlikely, which then means it would likely have to include two of Gauthier/Zegras/Mintyukov/Zellweger/2024 1st to headline the deal

instead of breaking it down I'll just give you a couple of common points.

#1 Whose the buyer here? It seems like you're trying to get both teams to get better soon instead of one now and one later.
#2 Most peoples trade on here are "What I want for what I want to lose." Trades have to hurt both teams. If you're happy about the trade from your side it's probably a homer trade.
#3 Picks in the 2-4th rounds are used by everyone like they take unfair trades and make them fair. If you're getting the best piece you can load up all the mid picks you want. Wont get there.
