they're talking like a real trade and this is where I'm confused.

Different Credible Sources claimed there's still 3-4 teams kicking around Anderson trade idea for 2 + years.
I doubt they're in a rush and are probably trying to get Hughes to RS to move him
I think EDM will end up with him and MTL will take on Campbell to buy him out instead of RS
I dont think the return will be huge based on Anderson per say but based on taking /buying out Campbell



But MTL is better off waiting until next TDL as the next coming season the cap goes up quite a bit.
Suddenly 2 years of Anderson at 5.5 doesnt sound that bad.

If it was me though
I'd Trade Anderson to a team willing to RS on Matheson for the same Term at slightly less cap hit.
It wont save them much but it weaponizes MTL ability to make bank off of Matheson Deal and because of the circumstances Andersons trade would be linked to it as part of his return
Matheson at like 2.3m will get interested parties given the term he has left and the play his capable of

Won't be Detroit as he isn't an upgrade on anyone but most importantly we can't afford him beyond this year.

where would you see him land?

It's really hard to say, I can't see anyone eating that contract. He's a career 0.4ppg player who hits a bit but doesn't play excellent defense, not saying he is awful like alot of people do, just saying he doesn't play excellent defense. I only feel someone is in on him at 50% salary but who knows, some GM's do crazy things.
