All of these are realistic except Dallas. I wish they would do it, but I have a hard time thinking they'd trade Stankoven.

definitely worth considering for the Sens. I think Branny is really underrated defensively and it'd probably not be the best idea to move him for a position that isn't really needed, but also I just love Pageau so much and he's worth the contract when he comes with that retention. depends on how other things with the rest of the D shakes out

Oh, I haven't seen those. In that case, I'd happily take it. But I also didn't realize in your trade we're giving up a 1st. That doesn't make sense.

why would the cbj give up a draft pick for an unproductive corpse when we have a forward group full of players that need ice time to continue developing

It’s terrible. The last thing the Stars need is another forward, so why in the world would it make sense to trade a cost controlled, top tier prospect, for a rental? They need D, not more offense. Especially when Stankoven is looking like he may be the best player out of all those guys listed

A fifth feels rich, but I'd absolutely take Clutterbuck for FC. I like that he's older, and he's been to the conference finals multiple times. He's a classic fourth line grit guy so he wouldn't be blocking any prospects. I like the move, especially if the new GM moves out Texier, Olivier, Kuraly, Danforth, etc.

in the context of one of those four players being moved, i'd do it for the '25 vegas seventh we own. he's gonna be a 35+ UFA this summer, so we could simply have him if he was interested at all in being a blue jacket and we have an open roster spot. but with 4 fourth liners on the roster right now, i would not add another.

If they really needed the offensive help, Bourque maybe on the table. I just don’t see them needing to pick up another forward. Especially since most fans want us to resign Duchene after this year so cap space becomes an issue and roster spots honestly. Next year they have a forward core of at least: Hintz, Robertson, Johnston, Stankoven, Seguin, Benn, Marchment, Bourque, Faksa. That is 9 forwards without resigning Duchene or Pavelski. Either of them come back and our top 9 is basically filled.

So while Nelson is great, there just isn’t much room to work with. They would be giving up assets to have him upgrade the team’s biggest strength already. The Stars biggest need is a RHD that can play with either Miro or Harley so they can be split that pair up to create two dominant D pairings. Y’all have a couple RHD I think they would entertain a big package for, but I doubt they are available.

I honestly don't see the need, mostly because I don't foresee him contributing much either way.
