That Zegras deal is uniquely awful for cap friendly. At worst, he's a offensively capable young cost controlled top 6 forward. You've giving up a C prospect and a 2nd round pick. The retention alone is worth more than that. Zegras at that cap hit is exceptionally good value.

That Hutton trade is pointless for the Jackets and so probably wouldn't go through. We have too many depth blueliners as is.
