Easy no for the blues. Hardly any value for them here even if Kyrou was available. The only rumors we have heard is from a local reporter who has a vendetta against him and was the main instigators in Kyrou being booed by the fans a month or so ago

Eichel got a young NHL player under contract, at the time a high prospect and 1rst and a 2nd. This is not that

It's not even close. Tuch was a 24 year old winger who was on a great contract and was a top 6 player. Krebs was still a highly regarded prospect at the time. Smith is useless for the blues. Rakell is old and signed to a contract the blues don't want so no value there. The 1st could be good or could be middle of the pack. Value isn't close to the Eichel trade

Eichel brought back Tuch (better than both roster players above combined); Krebs - a former first; and 1st and a 2nd

He was also coming off of major Neck surgery and has a cap hit of $2M more than Kyrou. So not exactly apples to apples. Also Buffalo had to move Eichel. So again - pathetic offer.

Yes and Kyrou as a lesser player gets the same picks but lesser NHL talent

Seven seasons of Jordan Kyrou aren't going anywhere.

"Similar" isn't the same as "comparable." The first isn't a current one, the two players aren't youngsters under team control for many more seasons (Smith has only one year left on his deal) and Rakell isn't close to Alex Tuch.

Should've triple quoted but, like I said to mmccred yes I know the players\lack of prospect is because Kyrou is a lesser player than Eichel but you get the same picks, plus Smith and Rakell are scrubs both dudes can hockey

Yes I said similar since 2 players +1st +2nd, Kyrou isn't as good as Eichel so obviously the value needs to be lowered somewhere

If the blues traded kyrou they wouldn’t be getting older trying to stay competitive also

Remove Smith and Rakell. They hold minimal value at best. Add Guentzel in a sign and trade and keep the picks if not add more futures. Then it might be at least considered. Though no idea what Armstrong wants to do.

Sure I could get behind that sentiment but, it's not like you'd be taking out 2 NHL players and adding a really good prospect it's a long shot to hope for IMO

Reilly Smith holds little to no value at this point, so does Rakell due to cap hits. Also the blues have less than 0 % interest in either of them, if they trade Kyrou they're rebuilding why would they want two overpaid, struggling middle sixers? Kyrou grabs a 1st + a top prospect + a 3rd imo, this isn't that

Thats fine, but you do understand how much you lowered the value? You swapped out arguably the main piece in the Eichel trade for assets with very little value at all. This is basically a high rental price for 7 years of a first line forward.

Then trade for eichel. With your logic Pit only need a 3rd round pick and Vgk will accept it.

Guentzel is older but better than Kyrou and this type of trade would be a mix of win now and keep competing for Pitt so moving Guentzel would make no sense

Guentzel is of no interest to the Blues anyways. He would be in the same boat that Buchnevich will be in a year and a half.

Fairly similar in what regard? Tuch was a much better and younger player than Rakell is right now and Krebs was a recent 17th overall pick

LOL I was waiting for this comment!
I understand fanbases love their players but, do you really think Kyrou is worth the same deal? Honestly
Not a center and a worse PPG, you get futures and something to tide you over. If trades only happened for pure prospects and futures trades would only happen with the likes of Anaheim and Buffalo who have mega capspace you need to take something in return in these situations and again, you can't deny both dudes can hockey

Dude, Nobody is saying that Kyrou is worth the same as Eichel. What everybody is saying is that your trade is not even worth comparing to Eichels trade. I would go as far as to say that it is worse than what Lindholm got this year.

Of course Kyrou doesn't get the same return as Eichel, but the hypothetical return would be way better than the garbage you are giving.

Side note: half the people roasting your trade aren't even St. Louis fans.
