If the Jackets are trading KJ it's in a package to get a better player. They're not going to dilute their lineup further with the quality of prospects they already have.

Easy yes for habs.

KJ is my guy and he’s be the guy I target if I were Hughes. Yes. Before Zegras.

I’d do the Winnipeg and Calgary 1st round picks along with a player like Beck. Something like that….

Might not be enough but that’s what I would feel comfortable parting with if I’m the habs.

Habs fans need to let KJ proposals drop. He's not being moved.

We're in the same spot as MTL, we need high-end talent not more picks/darts/prospects. KJ has flashes of that, and has that potential (which, you agree if you're trading for him). If he were being moved, we need another similar high-caliber prospect coming back (Reinbacher, Slaf, etc.) or a top-5 pick (MTL's unprotected 2024 1st+, since it's a weaker draft this year), or an established star where KJ is moved as part of a package.

The KJ-to-MTL trade proposals are quickly turning more frustrating than the Jenner junk. Why would this make any sense for Columbus? If you were offered the same package for Slaf, would you even consider it?

Or, more to the point, if he gets moved, it's not for the sorts of assets the Habs have to offer.
