I can't see Hurricanes selling Pesce for that

Remove Mikheyev and it's a fair deal for the Pittsburgh trade.
Dubas doesn't want Mikheyev - He prefers prospects and young players.

Yeah penguins definitely pass on that trade without a second thought. They want a top prospect for a top 5 LW. Especially half retained. not a bunch of random pieces that won't even have an impact for 5 years. If they work out at all.

Why are we taking a cap dump for free?

No remove him and it’s a mediocre deal for us.

According to Dubas, he prefers prospects and a young player.
Mikheyev doesn't fit for the Penguins.
If you add Raty or Podkolzin, then it would make sense.

Yes I am aware. I’m talking about Raty, picks, ands throw away goalie as a mediocre deal for us. You can keep the cap dump and it’s still a C grade deal at best if Dubas says yes.

if you can't add Lekkerimaki don't bother.
What low ball offer you think you can get by with will instantly be rejected.

Not to worry though, JR will send what the penguins need for Jake.
DeSmith, Cole, Blueger, Lafferty.... it's clear who makes the decisions in VAN.
The penguins will be getting a nice return

The pens don’t need the goalie prospect. The pens have 2 really good goaltending prospects in their system already. One that will be up next year or the year after at the latest, and 1 that will likely replace Jarry as the number 1 guy in a few years.

Canes pass. There's nothing there of interest. Canes want to win the cup this year and RD is an issue as is. Why give up the best two way RD we have for futures? Makes no sense.

Canes are playoff bound, they aren't selling off Pesce for futures.

Wouldn’t even be enough for Pesce if they were even willing to sell him. Besides, Pesce wouldn’t waive for a Canadian team.

Devils accept. I’d sub Wolanin for a lower tier prospect though.
