Can you state the source of the rumors, because most of the credible national guys have tweeted that Vancouver has moved on to Toffoli and doesn’t believe they are getting Guentzel

I read that same rumour, and it's exactly why Guentzel isn't a Canuck. VAN doesn't want to give up either of those guys, let alone both.

It seems high but at the end of the day Jake is a top 5 LW and can put a team over the top .
At the time of the Hossa trade , Kunitz trade , and Kessel trade , even the iginla trade , the price seemed super high. Until a few years later when the “futures” given up fizzled into nothing and the pens won a few cups. Prospects are just that . Prospects . Not guaranteed to be anything at all . Jake is a sure fire top 5 LW with massive game breaking ability. All three pieces may end up great , or end up being literally nothing

And according to the rumours the Canucks have dropped out of the Guentzel race presumably because of the absurd asking price. They're now pursing Toffoli.

Knowing Kyle Dubas.. this ask makes 100% sense. He typically highly overvalues his players and it’s pissed some GM’s off a lot in the past

I can’t see Carolina giving up Nikishin, but Scott Morrow is a pretty talented young defenseman.

I wouldn’t give up Nikishin if I were them even included Pickering as an offset.
