Good deal, Eberle is still a solid top 6 contributor

Honestly don't mind Seattle keeping Eberle, especially with how bad the returns have been this year at the TD.

*Edit* Can't say I love the full NMC

Good signing, he'll be available for a 35+ contract right after this one.

Damn. Likely a little below market value. This is a good deal. I half expected Hawks to overpay him 2 years and $6M AAV this summer.

Best comment yet !

I can't wait to see how the Hawks overspend their money just to ice a team above the salary cap.

I'm honestly surprised they didn't claim Knutzy off waivers a couple days ago.

Eberle has been a fixture for the Kraken franchise since its inception, and sentimentally at least it's nice to see him continue his tenure with the team. His value to them extends beyond the scoresheet thanks to his locker room presence and on-ice chemistry with Beniers. I think a two year deal at a slightly lower AAV than his current contract suits the Kraken quite well, as he can serve as a bridge from the present to when some of their young forward prospects are ready to make the leap.

Eberle should have been named the first team Captain instead of Gio, what an embarrassment trading your Captain after a little over 50 games.

This contract is perfect for a guy like Eberle. He still has some left in the tank, and the fact that it's only two years means there is a lot less risk.
