PLD has zero and i mean zero value, LAK would need to pay to get rid of him, no way he get Ullmark

Yeah, I'd love for Boston to get an incredibly demanding 2C centre that thinks they're elite.

Poitras will be better when he's back next year and he makes literally 11% his cap hit.

The irony is there is a logic behind it. Bring PLD into the Boston culture and put him in between Pasta and Zacha, this could be the type of deal that translates into having four highly talented foundation pieces under 28.

It’s a massive risk, but PLD chose LA for the glitz and basically got relegated to the third line. I’d get it would be highly unpopular, but the upside is definitely a consideration here. As is the belief that being traded to Boston is a lifeline. Not saying LA is bad, but he’s not a 3rd line center.

They were using a Ferrari where a F-150 was needed and LA has Turcotte to take his place. Boston is frankly not Winnipeg or Columbus. My guess is he’d love it here

Maybe. Hes 25 years old with three 60 point seasons behind him. The only reason he’d be available for Ullmark and DeBrusk is because of the maturity issues. Not minimizing those guys. Just saying that teams don’t trade young centers with his track record usually. He just got traded for Villardi and Iafallo primarily.

I don’t believe both GMs will have the stones to do this deal, but it is one that frankly does have some logic behind it even if the only thing some fans will see is risk,

Talent is undeniable - but the attitude, work ethic, and personality is another thing. Can they get him to buy in?

We can probably chalk up Columbus and WPG to the team/scenery.... he didn't want to be there. But his time in LA has been extremely underwhelming and validates a lot of the issues teams have had with him. My concern is that he would ruin the culture of the team - he reminds me of Dougie Hamilton but worse in the room.

I would prefer Lindholm at $7M AAV to Dubois.

Would you prefer Lindholm at 8.5M AAV for 7 years (the Scheifele contract) and whatever return you can get for Ullmark at the trade deadline?

That will likely be the trade off being considered here.

Ha, ha, the joke will be on you guys when DuBois wins the Conn Smythe Trophy.

Now, where did that Cheshire Cat go? He was just here a minute ago . . .

Don't want Lindholm. Don't want Dubois. The cost for the benefit is just to high.

Let's see if we hit gold, silver or bronze with Poitras in the next few years and keep financial flexibility for the Bruins.

Kevin Weekes is saying Ullmark nixed a deal because of geography. That’s interesting. Could his focus of his No Trade be west coast teams or further flights from his family?

I don’t care what you or I want. Sweeney appears to have targeted Lindholm
