Might be the least noticeable player to play almost 400 games in the league.

Good depth addition for the Rangers, although I cant imagine Rangers fans are very happy about this being one of their only moves so far haha

Ruhwedel is worth a 7th round pick.

And the Rangers are already set with Fox / Trouba / Schneider.

Pittsburgh wins.

Ruhwedel is a solid #7. Better than many players being traded for 3rds this year. Well done to the Rangers.

On the one hand, Ruhwedel isn't going to play every night, not on a good team.
On the other hand, a 4th likely won't play 100 games in their career while Ruhwedel has over a decade of experience in the NHL.

Fair deal.

I mean, Ruhwedel is a 7th D, I wouldn't have given up anything major for him, heck, pick up Deangelo off of waivers, he's arguably better

Good ole' Dubas, you always see the Good, the Bad and the Ugly with his decisions.

The 4th Rd pick is good but the ugly part is waiting 3 years to use it, meaning it's not a pick for his current rebuild.

I agree, some nice depth players have been placed on waivers, free additions to add at no cost.

Glad we did something today. Sad to see Ruh go. Good guy and good depth player. Great return really for him who technically is a 7-8 dman.

We need picks for the future lol. We are not going to be any good in 2027. In fact possibly worse.

You picked the wrong GM for a rebuild.

Dubas was gifted Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Reilly, Liljgren and Woll (plus tons of players he gave up on; ei: Kadri, Hyman, Marchment, T. Moore, etc.).

In the 6 years in Toronto he only found Kapanen (opps he gave up on him too) and Knies as home grown everyday Nhl talented.

And when has he attempted a rebuild? So how do you know that? Regardless Toronto still employees a failed President and hired one of the worst GMs in the league to replace him.

It's a shame Dubas wanted to make a big boy "first day on the job" move mistake by trading for E. Karlsson only to figure out he needs to rebuild not contend 7 months later.

That EK65 trade set the rebuild backwards by 2 seasons.

I don't care much, I appreciate the attempt
