Even if I don't believe Ceci is a cap dump or that he should cost a 2nd to dump even if he was, I don't hate the trade. For reference, Lyubushkin was traded with one year left at 2.75mil for a 5th last year and that's what I think a Ceci move will look like.

Good w/ the Toffoli signing. Probably doesn't take that much to get him but ok if it does. Ok w/ Big Rig but not at $4m. $2.5m max. If he wants more, then pass. Don't see Edmonton making that deal. Maybe remove the 4th from the Philly trade.

I'm not giving up on Soderblom, this is the kind of thinking that is a remnant from when Bowman was GM. You don't give up on prospects this quickly. If he needs a year or even two of god awful play to become an NHL goalie, we have the time to give him and no one even close to ready to take his place. Also, this proposal would essentially mean PHI received a 1st, THREE 2nd round picks, and two pretty good prospects, all just to take on one year of Petersen. We should not be helping them do that. If they want out of the last year of Petersen, which I doubt they do, they can just pay for it straight up. We shouldn't have to send anything back.
