To me, this signals Edmonton is buying out or moving on from Jack Campbell and they are slotting in Rodrigue to an NHL roster next season.
Fanti, Ungar, Day, and Jonsson will fill out the ECHL and AHL teams.
When was the last time we saw a guy get an NHL contract right out of USports? Seems uncommon.
Idk when the most recent time was but a couple of seasons ago the Oilers signed Noah Philip out of the University of Alberta, that's the only other time I can think of though
Numbers are good and he won goalie and rookie of the year in Usports, I watched him while watching Wanner last year in Moose Jaw and he was good there as well. I like this add from Salajko and Pracey. this probably one of Day or Jonsson doesn't get signed

I can't see this as the goalie roster. That's 1 injury away from having 0 NHL experience in net. Oilers will sign 1-2 goalies with NHL experience if they buyout Campbell. Jonsson could stay in Sweden and Day might return to Firebirds.

Seemed to have a solid WHL career, but went undrafted. OK, I'll go to university. Then maybe out of the blue, he get signed by the OIlers
Interesting journey indeed. Good luck to the young man.
