I don't mind the trade assuming Van has a good defender lined up to use the money on to upgrade from Myers.

It's doubtful would take a good offer for us to move him. This would be close probably would want a decent prospect with the pick. (Ie. A young forward that could compete for 4th line in the preseason)

It's not a bad offer for Garland but I don't think he's the guy they want to move anymore. There would have to be something else in the works for Van to trade him for futures.

Highly unlikely the Canucks move Garland, especially if he is taking reps with Petey and producing. Suddenly the contract looks decent. Mikyhev starting to come around too. That aside however, if they do move Garland it will be for another player that can help the team now, coming back the other way.
