Ottawa doesn’t need a LHD seeing as they have Sanderson, Chabot, and Chychrun already. And Norris is a risky trade target considering his contract, injury troubles, and lack of production (relative to his salary) this season. I’d rather have Guhle but I can see both teams declining this

Guhle is an important top 4 D and Norris is damaged goods. NYR pass

Don’t think Norris pulls anything really of value on the trade market until he’s healthy and can show he can play a full season. Only type of trade I can see happening is where another team is shedding a bad contract too and would be willing to take the risk to see. But not sure Sens would want to do that so I doubt he gets moved.

MTL doesn't touch either of these trades with a 10 foot pole

Norris had surgery on the same shoulder as last time, his value isnt much of anything until he can pull through a whole season with productivity. There's legitimate concern there.

What is Kakko's value?
I dont know too many fanbases that want anything to do with him. Doesnt have the pace. This price of a 1st and top4 RHD prospect seems more in line with what it will cost to get a Lundell out of Florida if they can sign guys like Montour/Reinhart, Lundell is a productive center and can play a 200 foot game.
One dimensional guys like Holtz/Kakko if traded will be done at their lowest value, you'd think.

Barron was acquired by Montreal as a top-4 RHD prospect, but he has not developed to be one and is closer to being lost on waivers than making the Habs in a top-4 role.

We don’t need that Norris contract, let alone for a stud on the back end like Guhle. Pass.

disagree, Vegas took a chance on Eichel who just had a surgery that was never done on a NHL player, Norris has value, not eichel value but still value of a 2c as the team getting will look at his medical files to get better view of his injuries

Kakko plays a 200ft game lol he just needs to start creating more offense for himself instead of deferring. He probably won’t be the top 6 player he was drafted but he still has tools that make him good

Plus rangers don’t need picks or a defenseman who wouldn’t crack the lineup

Fair enough. I honestly think we keep Norris anyway and hope he can rebound, and if not he’ll be on LTIR anyway so it’s not a huge problem!

I really don't think MTL should do that trade, especially if you get Celebrini. However, the Sens also won't do that. They'd be selling so so low on Norris and while the injuries are a huge problem, their better off to just be patient. No rush to move Norris IMO

Like Chytil, until he plays a full season he has zero value. Records show that Norris blows a shoulder every second hit

On waivers..? Show some levity because these kind of exaggerated answers are childish

It’s not an exaggeration, it’s pretty simple math. Barron is waiver eligible next season and is looking like the odd-man out in the group of Guhle, Reinbacher, Mailloux, Hutson, and Xhekaj. Even if Reinbacher and Hutson stay in the AHL next season, the Habs probably aren’t going to run a D with four or more 23-and-under guys. There’s also guys like Harris and Struble in the mix.

Besides, I didn’t say that Barron was worth putting on waivers, I said he’a closer to that than being a top-four guy at this point. His physical play and compete is seemingly non-existent for a guy his size.

not true, when looking at a injury you have to ask/see HOW he was injured, Norris current injury is just bad luck BS, he hit the CENTER back post of the net because he turned too tight againt the net, now if he had hurt his shoulder on a hit then that is a cause for concern.

Chytil is a totaly different situation and much more grave, him its concussion and that can affect his entire life, current and future.
