I think CHI has to accept that, but I'm not sure why BUF does it. You retain on Skinner putting him at $7M, only to sign Teuvo, a utility 2nd line winger, for $6M to play on your top line, you are only saving $1M for a comparable if not worse player. Is there something wrong with Skinner?

Skinner likely isn't waiving to go to Chicago. And the Hawks probably don't want to deal with that 3rd year on his contract anyway.
