Big moves for next season Copium involved

Created by: StutzlesNumber1Fan
Team: 2024-25 Ottawa Senators
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 26, 2024
Published: Mar. 26, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
We look to make a splash in free agency.

We go after Roy, Pesce, Demelo, Tanev, Guentzel, Reinhart etc and hope to land big. (Guenzel or Reinhart only work if Norris is not in their future plans, and move him which I will do)

We basically have Staios and Andlauer selling our roster to them and like the Cowboys fans always say "THIS IS OUR YEAR" and maybe someone(s) buys in and signs.

Additional Details:
I don't think Chychruns value is as high as we think, but I think Lundell is a very good 3rd line guy with potential to be a 2nd line guy.

We sell Norris at his lowest which sucks, but it also gives us a solid 3rd pairing RD and the cap to go after Pesce + Guenztel.

Brannstrom doesn't fit the TB mold for a defenseman under Brisebois please show me a guy under 6' and under 200lbs.
Florida See's Lundell as a 2C and is loaded on the backend.

Hawks probably decline. Can't see them spending a 3rd on a guy they could've had for free off waivers.

WRT Norris ... i just refuse to take to risk that comes with that contract until he shows he can produce and stay healthy. I know at that point he becomes expensive again but also at that point he isnt a complete albatross of a contract.

They’re not, but theyre better than Korpi and Forsberg short term until we could find a true #1.

Lundell is a really good young player man, he’d be perfect with Ridly and Chych value has diminished as much as it sucks.

Very fair man! I was just trading him to make room for Pesce/Guenztel contracts, but it’s obviously unrealistic someone takes Norris until at least mid season after he’s played 30+ games.

I hope he gets better and gets his groove back just dang that's a risky freakin contract and if i were a gm id want no part of that until he shows he can be healthy and productive.
