Why wouldn't you keep Lyon in net? He's been pretty good this year, I'd rather him over Driedger and it saves them 600k

Detroit passes on the Pittburgh trade, We're not dealing Joe Veleno to move Justin Holls contract. A buyout on Holl only cost us $5,333,332 for 4 years that's basically nothing.

Zero interest in trading Husso for Blackwood, It's not much of an upgrade at all.

Mo Seider will probably get the Larkin deal at 8 x $8,700,000.

Lucas Raymond 8 x $7,500,000 or a 3 year bridge around $5,750,000 would be my guess.

I doubt Stamkos takes $6 million to come to Detroit. To stay in Tampa? Probably. But I can't see him taking that and coming to a rebuilding Detroit team

it doesn't matter PIT isn't paying a 3rd pairing guy that much. They got to much cap invested in their top 4.

Good, Then we agree it's bad for both teams.

that it is. Although I'm sure they would be more than happy to move on from Acciari if DET wanted him at a lessor cost.

Wrong. Sullivan and Dubas love Acciari and while I don't particularly like him, he is an effective PKer that was noticeably effective at his role. He's not a liability contract like Holl.

I mean, rebuilding Detroit is a whopping 7 points behind Tampa and Detroit adding/Tampa losing a Stamkos level player probably makes strides in closing that gap...

I agree he probably doesn't take that deal. It's just the reasoning is laughable.

I'm not sure the status of teams is as important as the tax advantages and continuity of staying where he's at which would make the most difference.

I didn't realize you had one on one convos about the true feelings of Dubas and Sully......

in not made up news...... He's old and the team needs to get younger. If they can move some of these old contracts out they should. Maybe then they can have the legs to play for 3 periods.
