  2. 2024 1st round pick (TOR)
  3. 2026 3rd round pick (TOR)
TOR
  1. Rossi, Marco
  2. Spurgeon, Jared ($2,000,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Expanded on an earlier trade. Rossi for Knies and a 1st
2.
CAR
  1. Zuccarello, Mats
Additional Details:
Bringing in one of my favorite ex-Wild players. Burns comes in and can teach Faber the key to his offensive game. He can retire a Wild player and help us build on our future.
3.
MIN
  1. 2025 2nd round pick (NJD)
NJD
  1. Gustavsson, Filip
Additional Details:
If the Devils miss on Markstrom. I know there was talks about Markstrom being their guy at the trade deadline. Minnesota makes a deal to clear room for Wallstedt and Fleury.
4.
MIN
  1. 2024 1st round pick (SJS)
SJS
  1. Heidt, Riley
  2. Boldy, Matthew
  3. 2024 1st round pick (MIN)
Additional Details:
I hate this trade a ton but we almost have to do something to this nature. Boldy is a future 100 point guy. He's taken another step this year. Heidt had a monster year. Could be the number 2 guy behind Smith. The Sharks can still use the 1st for a guy like Tij Iginla potentially.

Canes pass. Burns can teach Morrow the keys to his offensive game instead.

I was coming to congratulate your intellectual honesty in the title, but bro... the NJ and SJ trades are really bad ideas for the Wild. I could only hope they'd do those deals.

First and last trade are terrible for the Wild. Middle two would benefit the Wild but the other teams would probably not go for it.

I agree, I've done a few of these mock trades and people always say Wild aren't giving up enough. I'm overpaying a bit to get these trades to go through. And ultimately, some of these guys aren't going to hit. The Boldy move is a massive gamble but Ek and Rossi aren't going to be in the top end of the league in those positions. I think Celebrini gives us the next MacKinnon/Crosby type for the next 15 years. Pair that with Kaprizov and upcoming wingers, I like that start.

On the Sharks deal I really only wanted to do Boldy and our 1st. Heidt is kind of a get the deal done. Not sure if Shark fans have seen the post but no one is saying no from their side.

The Toronto deal was really a Rossi for Knies and a 1st. I want to dump some of that cap space to sign guys like Faber and others. If we get more for Spurgeon in that deal, I would take it. Maybe another prospect or a higher pick than the 3rd.

The other trades I tried to be realistic. With GusBus recent play his value goes up. If we get a 1st or maybe 2nds i think you take it. Zucc for Burns seems like a no brainier. Zucc is still a high producing player. If we could target a right hand defenseman to replace Spurgeon I would take that.
