That OTT trade is absolutely ridiculous. They'd turn it down if Tkachuk was the only piece coming back to you, let alone adding MORE to your end of the deal.
Horrible trade for OTT. Declined.

Would you accept that package for Petey or Quinn? It’s definitely not getting accepted for Brady.

Tampa Bay probably declines. Neither the prospect or the pick helps Tampa win next season. They just keep Jeannot.

I tried making a trade previously for Brady given the friendship with Quinn. Ottawa fans **** all over it, but I gotta say....

Dsimz13 is right. Canucks wouldn't but it's close. I think there needs to be a roster player like...Boeser instead of Suter, and change Raty or Lekkerimaki for a lesser prospect. All that said people in the east devalue Huggy and Petey and over-value their stars.

PIT respectfully declines.

We are not trading prospects atm, especially for Ilya.

Brady isn’t close to the level of Petey or Quinn

I never said he was.

Brady’s an all star, those are superstars. The point was more about how important they each are to their team. If the offer isn’t something that you’d consider for Petey or Quinn then odds are Ottawa wouldn’t consider it for Brady either.

Petey and Quinn would both get substantially more in a trade than Brady. If there was an offer the Canucks would consider for one of those two then it would probably be something that’s an overpay for Brady

Brady is a great player but he’s also overrated. He’s a 30-35 goal, 70-80 point guy, who’s not good defensively. Obviously the physical play adds some value as well, but he wouldn’t get a similar trade package that Pettersson or Hughes would

Brady doesn’t get traded without a massive young building block piece coming back. Something as valuable as a top 5-6 pick in this draft or a young piece like Nemec

Yeah he’d still get a very good return in a trade. In a hypothetical deal with the Canucks the main piece going back would likely be either Lekkerimaki or Willander (obviously they aren’t quite on the level of Nemec but either one is still a great piece to acquire)

My point is that Brady IS the team. We're saying the same thing. It would need to be an overpay to get him out of Ottawa. An overpay on Brady may be similar to a deal that could get consideration for Petey or Quinn.

Never said theyre worth similar packages, just that a package would need to be similar to get any serious consideration.
