    Yea gonna be a NTU

Both those 2nd's are gonna be low and we can do better in a trade down and we dont need an AHLer

Leafs pass. That would need to be Arizonas 2nd + Washingtons 2nd for this year for us to consider. 2x 2nds this year (one being an early one), you may have yourself a deal though. Smith has no value.

Habs pass, Armia is having a great bounce back scoring goals and working the pk quite well. He's got value by himself. I doubt Hughes uses his first from Monahan in a dump/trade down deal. Just out of character from him

We arent trying to pay to get rid of either of them. The habs have one of the deepest prospect pools in the nhl they want the 1st rounder not anything your offering

no, they just don't have cap problems enough to trade down lmao, I mean what stops them from buying out Armia and Dvorak and just keeping the 1st?

    It's $1.5M first year
    and $3.2M second year
    third year=$0

Add the fact that they're not in cap trouble rn and boom, no reason to trade down because even if they were in cap trouble a buyout for both players is quite negligible.

In fact, they could have Price's contract on regular IR and still have cap room. Add in the fact that Petry and Allen's retained salaries end, and there's 0 reason to make this trade. If the pick is traded it'd be for an upgrade, a buy not a sell.

Caps decline here, TvR might be on the way out (though I find a Jensen exit much more likely), but Washington has no current use for Kerfoot, as he won't supplant Lapierre or McMichael in the middle 6. Washington would likely be looking for picks if they choose to move one of Jensen/Van Riemsdyk.
