for the record, I would just keep most of those contracts to term versus paying to dump

I don't see that math here:

Anderson takes at most 2 1sts to dump
Dvorak takes 2 3rds to dump

that leaves: a 2nd, Jordan Harris, and Rohrer

Dvorak has one year left, it wouldn’t cost much to move him. Most likely what happens is he’s taken back by a team in a larger deal to make the money work.

Anderson at this moment cannot be traded. Maybe if you added the wpg first in a larger package to a rebuilding team with a little salary retention? Even that’s not likely. At the same time we know he’s struggling as a vet in a lost season and nothing to play for. There’s a chance he’ll bounce back to some degree next season and up his value.

I made this in repsonse to a few proposals lately where it looks like the OP's have Anderson or Dvorak are the centre piece in a trade returning a 21 year old with tons of potential.

I look at what the Habs got for Monahan's 1 year, and think Anderson would cost a lot more than 2 1st. Maybe I put too much down to prove the point. Either way we will not get Necas for Wpg 1st, Anderson and a 3rd (or whatever I have seen thrown around)

I don't even understand why we are discussing cap dumps and Montreal in the same sentence. We'll have *too much** cap room this year. Let's do ourselves a favour and dump our contracts in our own backyard.
