At this point, I much rather Struble than Holloway

I do think its a pretty fair deal for Necas, but I would make sure there is a bunch of protection on the picks, because we aren’t necessarily out of the woods yet

Eh I think Edmonton passes, a late 1st + a bottom pairing d-man won't help us much over the next 2-3 years

Maybe I just haven’t seen Necas play enough but I wouldn’t give all that up for him.

Seems to be a VERY fast player, may tend to be more or less complete on the offensive side of things.

Comparing him to Caufield, the only reason he would be worth less in my eyes is age, and the fact that Cole still has 2-3 years of offensive growth, but Necas is a good player.

I wouldn’t trade our 1st 2024 for him, nor a top prospect like Hutson or Rein, but a couple mid 1sts is a fair price

Idk about that. Struble is solid, young and comes on the cheap. Not saying Montreal wouldn’t have to add in a swap because of Holloway’s first round pedigree but a late first may actually be too much when considering the respective seasons both these guys have had.

A couple of mid firsts sure but you forgot to mention Mailloux and a 2nd as well. Also I have my resignations about Farrell but the guy is still a decent prospect. Like I said it’s just a lot.

He's a lefty. Edmonton has at least 4 better LHD already.

I don't think it's about the value it's more so about the fit. Struble would just be filling a role that Broberg is supposed to play next year. Holloway can slide into the middle 6 for us and has looked great since coming back. Would rather hold onto these pieces and see how it plays out

True, kinda overlooked that we were sending Mailloux.

WTF is that Necas trade?! Why are you paying McDavid prices for a guy who doesn't have Zegras' value?!

Less than the guy who can't even stick in the lineup?
