Went all in this year on the Erik Karlsson trade and could still end up missing the playoffs tears of joy

Also, no one is taking Graves for free, give up a top prospect or a first to get rid of that contract

Still think the 4 years remaining on Rakell's contract is a deal breaker for the Hawks. But the retention, the pick and the prospect might get a conversation going at least. Hawks won't want Bemstrom and Pens won't get a 4th back. But there might be something here.

Giving up multiple seasons of a young near-League-minimum-contract player for one season of 33-year-old $2.5 million cap Reilly Smith would not be a smart move for the cap-stressed Los Angeles Kings. Much better to simply re-sign Viktor Arvidsson for 3 seasons and keep Kaliyev.
