No they wouldn’t. If you trade TK it’s because ur blowing it up to further rebuild. Marner doesn’t help them long term because he will be more than halfway through a new contract by the time the flyers are even ready to compete

And about that trade, Flyers wouldn't do it. If they are trading TK or Laughton, it would be to bolster their prospect pool/to get younger players. Not to trade someone who's halfway in his contract close to ~30 year old making 12M/year when they are supposed to be competitive.

Sure, in a vacuum. But you're forgetting two extremely crucial things: 1) his NMC means he picks his destination, and 2) he's got one year left and ain't no way he's signing an extension anywhere. That immediately dries up your market.
