Considering Guhle is a defenseman and only has 6 less points in 12 less games, it’s pretty clear who is better. And I’m not even talking defensively. Also, Devils management clearly doesn’t like him

Holtz and Guhle were drafted the same year.
Guhle is already a top 4 dman.
Holtz played bottom 6 and was thrown under the bus by his coach for his lack of defensive play.
If you were a GM of a team with Guhle on the roster, would you swap him straight up for Holtz?

Want to preface this by saying I do not think Holtz is better than Guhle.

LD Guhle had to beat out to earn a top 4 role: Jordan Harris, Arber Xhekaj

RW on NJD for holtz to beat out this year for a top 6 role: Jesper Bratt, Timo Meier, Tyler Toffoli, Dawson Mercer.
