That's insane... There's not a player on Boston Toronto would consider moving Matthews for... He's the best player in the NHL for a reason, which is why you'd want him

i think you actually made it worse. McAvoy is worth 10x what a year of Marner is. The only thing in Toronto that could get McAvoy just scored 69 goals, and the leafs aren't trading him.

well, he's not the best player in the NHL...I also think you really misunderstood this point.
The only thing in Toronto that could get McAvoy is Matthews - that's just true. no point in discussing it. McAvoy is the bruins best player and he's on an awesome long term contract. he's not moving
Likewise, Toronto wouldn't move Matthews for McAvoy.

Both of those statements can be, and are in fact, true.
