Caufield, Newhook, RHP, Gally, Roy, Mesar, Farrell...

Great, another winger under 6 feet...Just what we need to build a contending team 🙄

The redwings wpuld have to add a 2nd

Barron is younger, bigger, plays a more valuable nhler and at this point more likely to stick as a nhler.

Berggen is 24 and was barely in the nhl for a non playoff team. Hes a reclamation project not worth much

Probably one of the worst red Wings AGMs I've seen in awhile, congrats.

It's okay, Detroit isn't interested in that proposal.

Good because we wouldnt want Hughes to have to hurt Steves feelings from laughing too hard at the proposal

Red Wings would not add a 2nd to Berggren. Basically just giving Berggren for free at that point.

Berggren is only in the AHL due to Yzerman's insistence on playing "great locker room guys" over young players. He will be a NHLer next year; whether it's for Detroit or not, that's up for discussion.

This team should be harder to play against. Why is this bad?

Not even joking, that was my thought process as I wrote that.

I'm a huge fan of us dumping Maatta to ADD Campbell, all for the incentive of taking on a reclamation project we don't really have the room to wait on or work on.

Not waiting on him, he’s starting. Broberg is good. Solid future pairing for ASP.

Yeah he's so awesome we added Jack Campbell's **** contract to get him, because somehow he's better than just keeping Walman. tears of joy

Well I really like your Joshua addition. Probably overpaid him by quite a bit though. At least you know he will sign here with that deal. Might hurt is in the future paying a depth guy that much. Either way that style of player is very much needed. Plays with an edge but doesn't take alot of stupid penalties but still not scared to mix it up. Strong defensive play and gives it all. I wouldn't be sad at this dollar amount but don't think it's great value.
Why give Walman away for nothing? Is he the best top pair defenseman? No, but he's the best we got on the left side and you traded him for peanuts.
Then trading Maatta for Broberg and Campbell? Why just why? Maatta is better than Broberg now, although that may change in a few years. But the cap implications are not worth it at all. Just keep Walman and the team would be better with less cap issues.
I can understand Berggren for Barron but rather keep Berggren personally.
Chatfield I don't think it's worth that but I can see the draw. He plays alright in Carolina in a good system and with a good partner.
Bertuzzi ship has sailed. I don't think either side want a reunion.
The Raymond and Seider bridge deals are actually insulting. I can understand the desire to bridge but those are both lowball offers. Probably just piss them both off and drive them to want to test unrestricted free agency more.
I doubt we see that many rookies on the team either.

Both now and long term yes. Walman is undersized, bad at defending, gets caught out of position, and is injury prone.

Two bridge deals that line up Seider and Razor to potentially get huge long term raises at the same time, limiting flexibility.

Trading Burgers for change of scenery D that doesn’t have the upside once current prospects make it up. Detroit’s weakest prospect position is winger, so JB is more valuable to Detroit than another D who will have to compete with Tuomisto, Gibson.

Bringing in Broberg while taking in Soup. A LHD that is going to battle with Albert Johansson, William Wallinder, Shau Buium. Biggest loss here is burying that much for that long.

Getting rid of Walman for a price you could probably attain from Maata. How quickly people forget he was the Wings best D for good portions of last season and this year prior to injury.

Bringing back a player who SY didn’t want to give term to, wanted too much for what he brought back, and save for this year hasn’t been available for long stints.

Don’t know enough about Joshua but that feels like a regrettable contract. Wouldn’t mind Chatfield though.

Danielson, Kasper, Soda all making the team (especially Soderblom considering Berggren was the best Griffin by a landslide and he apparently isn’t any good).

You're talking long term to justify taking a disappointment LHD project as compensation for Jack Campbell when, long term, we have Johansson, Wallinder, and Buium in the pipeline.
