Hawks aren't doing that, they aren't competing and have goalies already.

Swap the picks and I could see the Hawks doing this. Im not sure they are sold on Soderblum and they want to be better next year. But they wont give up assets to get a backup goalie. They would rather just outbid if needed for UFA.

Just couldn't resist, could 'ya?

I'd say Kahkonen or Ned are the best bets of those 4 you listed. Lank isn't a #1 and Sammy is way too inconsistent.

I think broissot or however you spell winnipegs current back. If they do move geo i thik he could be a solid backup looking for a starter position that can also give a good chunk of the work to annuen

Probably take a punt on Kahkonen myself out of those. Finnish starter (don't see Lankinen as one so that rules him out for me), Finnish back up, Finnish goalie coach.

Ned as a second choice. As @HawksGuy81 says....Samsonov I'd rule out as too inconsistent.

Other options - Brossoit from Winnipeg, Father Finn as a gamble from Carolina.

Annunen is going to get the shot to run as the 1A, I’m not a Ned fan, and Samsonov might make you wish for Georgiev back.

You really think Brossoit could be a starter for the Avs with his age and all? I think I like Kahkonen best, then Ned. By Father Finn I assume you mean Raanta? In that case, no thanks.

Age does play a factor but not so much with some goalies (lots of variables like injury history, late bloomers and so on) and I don't see it as a huge issue with Brossoit. Kahkonen I still think would be the best shot myself, and yes by Father Finn I meant Raanta. Talbot would be another possibility as an older guy.

I mean if we're trying to father Jus into starting in two years I don't mind a tandem of Brossoit/Annunen. I'd also prefer Kahk
