Description
I am using what NHL 24 says the cap will be next year, it is quite the increase but until we know what the actual number is then i will just have to guess. My hope is that they win the playoffs but its only a 1/16 chance so. This is what i hope the lineup looks like next year. Let me know what you guys think

Sharks would not take Kane back if you added Draisaitl as a sweetener after the BS he put us through!
    Pass.

And no one is saving your but by taking Campbell not retained for FC! lol

Edmonton definitely rejects that San Jose deal. Blackwood is a subpar backup, they aren't moving Kane and retaining (!!) for him. They could get a better backup for less money in free agency.

Ceci is worth more than 4th + 5th and Campbell requires at least a 1st attached to move his contract.

Im guessing Toronto would gladly have Ceci over Brodie right now.

As an Oilers fan, these trades are kind of ridiculous... It'll cost serious assets to move Campbell with no retention, likely the Oilers just buy him out. And a player like Ceci is easily replaceable in free agency, no need for Toronto to be giving up picks. Ceci likely gets moved for future considerations, or we have to give up draft picks with him.

Also salary cap should be 87.7 million

No. There are a finite number of top-4 RHD available in free agency and NONE of them are signing for $3.25M x 1. Ceci has value, probably a 2nd + 3rd or thereabouts.

Top-4 RHD are currency in this league.

Yes, top-4 defensemen do make mistakes. Every single defenseman in the league has committed giveaways this season. Clearly your hockey knowledge is near zero.

Interesting that you chose to pick on giveaways... among the top 128 regular season defensemen based on total minutes played (32 teams x 4) Ceci had the 6th lowest giveaways/60 rate. In the league.

What's that old saying? Better to keep your mouth shut and have people think you a fool, than to open it and remove all doubt.

LOL… it’s still hilarious that you think Ceci is a top 4. He’s not.

There’s a reason why he was bought out in Ottawa. There’s a reason why Toronto didn’t offer him any kind of extension. You can try to justify it all you want, he still ain’t a top 4 defender.

Four NHL teams and 7 NHL coaches over 8 seasons have ALL played him in their top-4. And they're ALL smarter than you and me.

The issue the past couple of years is that Edmonton was playing him on their top pairing - he was getting fed literally top-10 hardest minutes of any defenseman in the league. He's not suited to that. Now, however, they have him on the 2nd pairing (Ekholm - Bouchard is their 1st pairing) where he is doing just fine.

Every time you comment you show the world how small-minded and biased you are.

    Have a great day.

How am I being bias for pointing out the obvious that Ceci is not a top 4 guy? Your only argument is his ice time and deployment when you fail look at the situations he’s been in.. he’s only gotten top 4 minutes because every team he plays on has terrible defenders. Just because he plays top 4 with $hitty defenders doesn’t make him a top 4 guy. LOL.

Every time you comment and think Ceci is a top 4 defender you show the world how dumb you are. Ceci is not a top 4 guy. It’s partly why his own team attempted to trade him at the deadline to improve their defence.. but his teammates said they liked him too much and didn’t wanna mess up the chemistry. But he is not a top 4 guy. He’s arguably a #6 defender at best. 🤣
