IDK, this trade kind of just whiffs on the Jets needs when it comes to the pieces returning.
Jokiharju is an RHD which is good, but his next contract is gonna cost more than he's worth at 3rd pairing (where he'd play on the Jets next year). Jets also have plenty of bottom pairing Dmen for next year already.
Krebs would be joining an already over-populated bottom6 next year (7 under contract, 1 RFA, and a couple more trying to make the team out of training camp.)
Savoie shares the same problem, as he'd be joining an already stuffed high-ceiling FWD prospect pool. Both players would be nice to have, but acquiring them over players in positions the Jets actually need (2nd pairing RHD and high-end RHD prospects) would be doing a disservice to the team.
1st round pick is always nice. But the majority of the returning market value in an Ehlers trade needs to be on a 2nd pair RHD, not on draft picks.
