The Jackets have a need for quality of assets rather than quantity of assets, so in the end that trade doesn't really appeal. If we were trying to get rid of Gaudreau and Laine (and there are a couple folks who do), that'd be a very nice return, but personally I don't think it's something we need to do.

Tampa accepts. They need to use Jeannot's cap space on areas of far greater need. Two 3rd round picks would be a fine return at this point.

JBB already made a terrible mistake by trading for him. There's no need to compound his error by not taking an offer like this for a low end 3rd/4th liner that is injury prone, especially when Tampa needs that 2.665 on players that are actually needed.
