I’m a big fan of Wifi, but Farabee is much better than he is. I can’t see PHI accepting that. NSH would trade Saros before even considering trading their future between the pipes. Lastly, I don’t see Suter okaying a trade to MTL.

On the contrary, Daniel Brière made trade offers for Xhekaj last summer. Arber is worth a top 15 pick, I’m convinced. Romanov gave us a 13 overall pick. Otherwise there is the possibility of giving a 2nd round choice.

If a GM is willing to trade a top 15 pick for WiFi then they should be fired. Again, I’m a big fan of his, but I just don’t see a world where that’s the case.

Hughes turned down that offer and has reportedly continued to turn down other offers for Xhekaj, whether you like it or not, Xhekaj is going to remain with the Habs.

I really don't like trading Xhekaj on the contrary. But to receive, you have to give.

Thats fair but why even try if you know Hughes isn't willing to part with him?

Farabee is 24 yrs old and got 50 pts on a really bad offensive team, hes worth alot more than X, especially after he didnt even play 50 games last yr. MTL probably adds a 2nd to that

Nashville isnt moving their goalie of the future.

And Suter is never accepting that trade.

Torn as a Nashville fan.

Value wise that is extremely good for us. Covers one of our big needs as well.

But.... id much rather have askarov than saros in the long run and we dont really have another good goalie prospect after askarov so this would really chain us to Saros unless we made a trade for someone or drafted someone soon. I guess we could hope Primeau works out... Still... probably would do it because that is really good value.

Dont think Montreal would offer that though. The extra 1st makes it a overpayment in my books.

Pezzeta is an interesting depth piece, but he isn't worth much, if anything. Dvorak's contract would likely cost more than that to move.

Xhekaj is not worth a top 15 pick - in what world would that statement ever be true? He split time in the AHL this year and you're convinced he's even worth a 1st? In denial
