I will say this about Dundon/Waddell though. I'm a guy that believes in 2nd chances and they act that way. I'm hoping it isn't coco Kuzy's 5th or 6th chance, but when a guy like Deangelo who did something awful...ok serve that punishment and yes its a privilege to be an NHLer, BUT can't a guy try to learn and be better too? Can't we give a guy a 2nd chance? Depends on the situation of course.

He has been pretty bad. He has to be highly sheltered and his controller is disconnected on defense. We should try to move him and try to get an actual center with the money freed up

I think the only possible way Kuzy to return a 1st is if the Canes eat half of his deal, and likely add a 2nd rounder as well. Even then, the acquiring GM should be fired if they do that deal.

That being said, I don’t think it would be wise to move Kuzy yet. Best case scenario, he fits in even better next year and he is utilized as the Canes own rental. As it stands, his numbers are half as good as what they were in 2017-18, which is certainly a good thing for the Canes, especially if those playoff numbers continue to get better.
