Sounds like not a lot of our free agents will be back

From Satiar Shah: Don't expect a lot of these guys to come back. From what I can gather they're going to be pretty ruthless with how they approach things.

From Rick Dhaliwal: Canucks want to bring back Blueger, Lindholm, and Joshua, but thinks Lindholm and Joshua may end up costing too much. Lindholm potentially 7M and Joshua over 3M potentially even 4M. Thinks they’ll try to make it work with Joshua though

Also thinks Zadorov has priced himself out of Vancouver, and that Myers wants to come back and that he will get 3-4M

Says Hronek is still asking for 8M but he nobody he talks to thinks he’s worth that or will get that much, but he’s sticking with that asking price

Thinks the Canucks would love to sign Tanev but he’ll likely be too expensive (5M+) after his play in the playoffs

Expects Silovs to be the backup next season

For the signings I made: Canucks were linked to Zucker and Duhaime at the trade deadline. With Zucker’s history in Pittsburgh also I could see him signing

Dillon was reported as someone the Canucks were interested in as a free agent late in the season. He and Hakanpaa helps replace the size and experience lost with Zadorov and Cole

Not sure if Demelo will get more but he’d be a great fit with Hughes imo

    I don’t think he’s gonna end up getting that much, that’s just what he’s currently asking for. I think he’ll get somewhere in the 7 millions or maybe even high 6 millions. But it doesn’t need to be Carolina, can be any team for a top 6 winger (or for assets that are flipped for a top 6 winger)

    I’d love to keep Zadorov but it sounds like he’s gonna be getting 5-6 years at over 5M a season potentially even 6M. If that’s what he’s gonna be getting I’d let him walk

    Hronek for Necas makes ALOT of sense for both sides.

    Also that defence is gonna be a nightmare to play against. They’ll drive you into the ice every opportunity they get.

    Makes no sense for Canes. They dont need him considering who they already have and he's asking for Sergechev money

    Canes are better off targeting Walker whose gonna command 4.5-5m

    Man Myers imo needs to do the club a favor after milking his 6m. At 3.25m I think it would be better to use that to sign a different D. 2m maybe 2.5m tops for Myers he was good this year but I'd rather bring in a more stable person.

    Also not sure I'd throw that at Dillon I'm not a fan of his game and imo he got away with a ton on Winnipeg that was called lots against us. If they think D-Petey/Wolanin/Brisebois are close to NHL ready I'd suggest bringing Cole back on a cheaper 1 year deal yeah he doesn't match up well against fleet footed teams like Edmonton but as a vet who can help out and play 60 games so some of the kids can get NHL experience and become a 4th option on the left side if injuries happen.

    Yep and to me way to much

    Most I would give is what Severson got but knowing his cap he's at minimum gonna get 7.5m and thats still to much

    Dillon's gonna cost at least 4m

    His RAPM was some of the highest of Dman this year. He's good at both ends and is a physical presence teams love that.

    Yea would stay clear. He makes sense for a team needing a top 4 LD but with the potential to get Chiarot money dont make sense for Van

    The likelihood that any team is going to give Hronek the 8mil he wants, knowing damn full well that he was propped up by Hughes, is incredibly low.

    I wonder if a deal around Severson and KJ for say Hronek and Lekkerimaki would work? Severson is already signed long term and at a reasonable cap hit. KJ is from the area. Kind of fits. Hronek could easily get his money from CBJ.

    I think the Canucks would want someone a little more proven than Yegor. I definitely don’t hate that proposal though, also depends on what Yegor would want on an extension

    Anything above 6mil is an overpayment for Hronek.

    Canucks management is super high on Lekkerimaki so I’m not sure if they’d do that. And even though I’d personally love to acquire KJ I think the Canucks would be looking for someone more proven than him
