31 - Vegas - Coming into their first year, they will not be very good.
30 - Florida - They've had a bad offseason, and not a deep enough roster, and they haven't seemed to be working together very well ... expect them to be near the bottom.
29 - New Jersey - You will all know why ... the way they played last season.
28 - Vancouver - Yeah, no need to explain.
27 - Colorado - Better than last year but still pretty bad.
26 - Philadelphia - they lost their starter and traded Brayden Schenn and the rest of their division is getting better.
25 - Detroit - The forward group isn't great, they don't have a top pairing defenseman at all, not even a #2.
24 - Buffalo - they'll have to get used to this new team.
23 - Carolina - Not quite their yet in that division.
22 - Winnipeg - They still need a better defence and don't have quite enough experience.
21 - Boston - The league is getting better, and Boston's defence still isn't good enough, there are a few other teams ready to make it back, Boston falls out.
20 - Minnesota - The Wild lost Marco Scandella and Jason Pominville and the Pacific is getting better, making the Wild lose a WC spot.
19 - Los Angeles - The Kings have won 2 cups in the last 6 years, however, their challenge is making the playoffs. After the season they had, i think they just fall out.
18 - Ottawa - There's more expected from them, and that might not help. Plus Karlsson might be injured for the start of the season.
17 - St. Louis They're a year older and are not getting any better.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
16 - Montreal - Price can help them get to the playoffs even if the forward group isn't great ... and something tells me they'll have another good year.
15 - Calgary - A great defence, pretty good forward group, and they finally have a starting goaltender. this is a playoff team for sure.
14 - Arizona - they're getting better with all their young players and are ready to take the next step.
13 - NY Islanders - Yeah, i've explained too many times. Eberle, Barzal, Ho-Sang, Pulock, and Doug Weight as coach ... this team is NOT worse than they were last year, and they missed by one point.
12 - Toronto - Ready to take the next step with all their young players.
11 - NY Rangers - Right now it seems like every year they're a cup contender ... Lundqvist can bring them to the playoffs with the deep roster they have.
10 - Anaheim - They made it to the Eastern Conference final with a lot expected from them, unlike Ottawa, they should be in the playoffs.
9 - Edmonton - Draisaitl, Talbot, Larsson, Klefbom, etc. Oh yeah, and that Connor guy, i forget his name but i've heard he's pretty good.
8 - Tampa Bay - Injuries and just not a good season stopped them last year, i expect them to be back in the playoffs.
7 - Columbus - We saw what they did last year, i think they'll be back in the playoffs.
6 - Dallas - Hanzal, Radulov, Bishop, etc. They're gonna be a cup contender.
5 - Nashville - Great team, i have them back in the final.
4 - Chicago - Not really a 'cup contender' but a playoff team like they've been for a while ... but i expect them to miss in 2018-19.
3 - Washington - Stanley Cup Champions
2 - Pittsburgh - You all know why.
1 - San Jose - The Sharks have lost Marleau, and they have an older team, but they're a hard working team who might be able to surprise a lot of people and finish at the top of the league with their experience.
