I trust that their advanced team stats will poise them for a breakout year.

About what I expected

Yeah, it would appear that I tend to use those as justification for my warrants, as do most beat writers and individuals who do this for a living (Micah McCurdy, Charlie O'Connor, Garret Hohl, Manny Elk, etc.)

This doesn't mean to sound aggressive, but they have a coach that can't play in the playoffs and got considerably worse during the offseason

If the regular season happens like this, Minnesota would play Dallas and Winnipeg would play Edmonton.

lol

About the numbers, they're more possible than you might think ... they have the extra point for OT/SO losses you know.

advanced stats are everything, i know ...

Except I basically say the antithesis of that, but they are the best indication of possession, if you use CORSI, for example.

Like it or not, sports are going to continue to trend towards advanced analytics, which will just become "regular stats", in short order. Thats the way the market is trending, and it will continue to trend that way, until they are either disproven to be effective, or a further advanced metric comes about.

Advanced stats are useful but you make it sound like they mean absolutely everything and that nothing else is important about how good a player is.

Not at all. Teams are making moves to circumvent the cap right now and still making decisions. For example, Shipachyov got sent down today, but ther s no way he doesn't make the lineup

You want the truth, you can't handle the truth.

Tampa, Leafs, Bruins, Sens, Habs, Sabres, Florida. Wings The Metro Pens, Columbus, Washington, Rangers, Canes, Isles ,Philly NJ
Nashville, Chicago, Minni, Dallas, Jets, Blues, Avs The Pacific Oilers, Flames, Ducks, San Jose, Kings, Arizona, Canucks, Vegas.

Top four in each division advance Tampa, Leafs, Pens, Columbus win first round Nashville, Minni, Oilers, Ducks win first round Tampa, Pens. Oilers, Ducks advance. Pens win cup over Oilers

they are more useful then just "watchnig" players. Most of the charts I use, are directly derived from those things that you watch.

Then are evidence to support claims
