You really swung for the fences. Should be able to get Grabner for a lil less but it's a good effort all the same.

Most realistic deadline
If this panned out, I would be pretty satisfied. I'm not sure what plekanec has left to offer, but I don't see him play often. Plus his cap hit is enormous. You literally have to move someone out to bring him in, and is that really worth it? The playoffs are a meat grinder for defenseman, simply adding Grabner and not trading Hunwick may be the best way to go. Add to the rangers deal and get Desharnais if needed.

New all in hbk 2.0
Not bad! Two 2nds for Grabner could get it done, definitely not out of the realm of possibility. I worry they may hold out for a 1st, although that seems a lot for a UFA Grabner. The big problem is you'll have to add to the Brassard trade. If you add sprong or gustavsson, that probably gets it done. I feel like it's well established they're going to want a 1st, top prospect, and a 3rd piece which is up in the air. Not having a pick until the 4th round would be brutal, but you gotta give to get I suppose.

Letestu
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FullSend</b></div><div>You do realize at trade deadline there isn’t a certain “worth” you can pin on a player going in. It fluctuates according to the desperateness of the GM interested while the clocks ticking. If it were as easy as “3rd for Letestu”, the deal would be done by now, reported Chia rates Maroon as highly as a late first or top prospect and many calls on both him and Letestu, I believe he holds out.</div></div>
Pinning worth to an asset is LITERALLY what you do at the trade deadline. In fact, you yourself did it above. A GM decides what someone is wroth and PINS a value to him. Obviously it fluctuates depending on the GM and their needs, nobody is denying that. If you guys get a "good prospect", or something higher than a 3rd for Letestu, I will eat my words. Time will tell I suppose.

Don’t need a LD, don’t want a low picks. Low end prospect and mid pick or a good prospect that we need and can be in the NHL soon</div></div>
Don't blame you on Hunwick, but I think you're overvaluing letestu. He's a replacement level player on an expiring contract at this point, and probably worth a 3rd rounder by itself <em>at best</em>. There's also the chiarelli tax, which removes value coming your way on any trade automatically.

Nicely done. I hope the Pens don't give up that much for Brassard, the 4th piece puts it over the top for me. If you swapped in a mid level prospect for the 2nd rounder, I'd be happy with it(from a pitt perspective). Good stuff.

It's pretty close. I imagine OTT holds out for a 1st rounder though. After Duchene, they're lacking firsts, and Brassard is their best movable asset to recoup that outside of Karlsson(whole 'nother story). VAN prob doesn't need Hunwick, but it doesn't really matter where he goes.

25 goals (good for 2nd on the pens btw) in his role with his skill set is definitely getting a first rounder.</div></div>
He's probably not getting a 1st rounder in this draft. You never know with some GMs, but this draft is considered to be deep, and I can't see many teams giving up a 1st in such a draft for a few months of Grabner.

I would say so, perhaps get a little more for Hunwick (hes not THAT bad). Would be nice if they retained salary though. His actual salary next year is 3.5m, so i'm not sure how that would work if they retained part of his 5m cap hit.

You're crazy if you think they're getting TWO top prospects, a 1st, a 3rd, and a B prospect for Brassard. Hunwick and Odyua are a push. If anything it's leaning towards overpayment. They'll get 3 pieces: a 1st, top prospect, and a roster player/B prospect.

This is exactly what i'm hoping for. Tbh Brassard is a pipe dream though. I'd love to see Grabner, and like your proposal, and it shouldn't take <em>that</em> much to get him. Ottawa is getting a hell of a return there, they should eat at least 750k if not a little more. If not idk if it's wise to include our top 2 prospects and our 1st rnd pick for one guy.

There's a reason B Pouliot has played for like 7 teams. I'd rather go for Vanek, or increase the offer and go for Grabner. Your OTT trade is solid. Like the above guy said, i'd almost rather give up Sprong than ZAR.

Brassard is good but idt he's 4 pieces good. A 1st + top prospect + 2nd/medium prospect should get it done. If it doesn't, run for the hills

Tbh I would like it better without Condon/Oduya. OTT can flip cole and sheary for two more 2nds at least, so that ends up being 3 picks and a top prospect for brassard.
