Lucius is a good prospect. I was just saying the Flames will want a first rounder.
Any prospects outside of Lambert, McGroarty, Barlow, and Salomonsson are available.

Doesn't everyone want to play? Vincent doesn't sound like he's pissed ar Jiricek for his comments. I'm not a Jackets fan, but I don't think he gets dealt.

If Chevy is offered that he takes that deal and buys a lottery ticket. People can mention his scoring problems the last 20 games, but Calgary is getting a 1st rounder +, not a 2nd and 3rd

Jiricek is a good piece, but giving up Lambert, and two firsts for him, and a 3C is too steep. Boone is not a true 2C and Winnipeg needs a 2C

Winnipeg's need is 2C. I did read the comment, but Olafsson is not a need for Winnipeg. We'll take Mittlestadt though ;)

Laine
Do Leafs fans want to win every game 7-6?
I really don't see a fit for Laine in Toronto. He's one of my faves. I have his Jets jersey in my closet, but he's been struggling, and the Leafs should be thinking of adding defense over anything

Regardless of whether you can afford him or not, it makes sense to sell when his value is at his highest, because he doesn't fit your window and will only decrease in value until he becomes an unnecessary cap burden.
Imagine if the sharks had enough foresight to land a big package for MEV while he was still a top pairing D...</div></div>
Or just trade Seth for MEV. Lol.
It seems like it was 20 years ago when MEV was one of the best defensemen in the league.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChiHawk</b></div><div>One contract isn't going to impact that. Chicago has a ton of cap space that when Korchinski and bedard re-up, it won't be a challenge even if they take up $25M together</div></div>
That may also be the point where say you get Celebrini this year. Bedard, and Korchinski will get extensions at the same time where the Blackhawks could trade some futures and hit free agency to fill holes and contend.

Seth Jones is going to be in Chicago at least the next two seasons when Chicago can eat some salary to send him off when they need to pay their prospects coming out of ELC's

Henrique Again
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Letsgosharks</b></div><div>Why did u do this San Jose trade? Not hating j curious cos even as a fan I’ve never heard of this guy</div></div>
Chisholm needs an opportunity. He's not illegible to go down to the minors without waivers, so he's be stuck in the press box, because the Jets don't want to lose him for nothing, so I decided to send him off to a young team where he can play, and for the Jets to get a RSD in return who they can have develop in the minors for a few years when he signs.

Either way, with both sent down or claimed… WPG has the cap space to trade for Lindholm, unretained, right now, instead of waiting for the TDL.</div></div>
Sign me up for Lindholm.
The question is does Calgary wait until the deadline, or do they consider themselves out of the playoff picture now, and send the UFA's out and set their sites on next season.

Jenner - What will it take
Pittsburgh doesn't have the picks, or prospects to overpay for Jenner, which is what they'd need to do to convince Columbus to trade him.
This is likely a retool situation similar to what Vancouver did last year, where they traded Horvat, made a coaching change, and kept guys like Miller, and are now one of the best team's in the league.

They have cooled off a bit, but we could lose one, or both of AJF, and Toninato.

A PLD Experiment
PLD requested a trade out of two cities before he turned 25. Two coaches have now publicly criticized his effort.
Do I think he will get traded this year, or even next? No
If he were though, a bad contract or retention would be needed because his value is low. His reputation is so low, L.A wouldn't receive anywhere close to what they regrettably gave to Winnipeg.
Others on this message board have proposed PLD to Montreal trades, and I'm just joining in on the fun.

Would Lindholm re-sign. If that happens, it will make my following point moot.
A reunion with Patty would mean one of Perfetti or Vilardi will have to be the 2C. Which one will it be, and will that work?
And why did Patty leave? If Wheeler was the problem, then a reunion could work with retention.
