2024 TDL - What could these guys fetch
Kovacevic - 2nd(ish), more likely to keep him until at least the off-season otherwise.
Ylonen - Player swap (change-of-scenery for young players not meeting expectations) or we keep him.
Allen may become a mutually agreed upon buyout in the off season.
Give him a chance to play meaningful games elsewhere.
He'll be at the bottom of teams' lists now with his recent performances and cap hit.
I don't expect enough goaltenders to move for him to end up on the carousel.
Pearson will be moved if at all possible (FC), but I wouldn't expect anything.

Pretty sure you are dead wrong, that would be worse than Drouin for Sergachev.
Habs had the chance to draft a better forward in the draft and took Reinbacher, who they still feel will be a #1 D man, no way are they throwing that away for Zegras, especially considering they wouldn't trade Xhekaj for a 2nd line forward prospect who was a former 1st round pick as well.

Totally agree. Would have to see what Monahan's asking price is and term.

Anderson is having his own issues. You have to be able to sell the players belief right now, that these moves are going to make a difference.
Monahan and Montembeault can carry that message but this group needs confidence and Anderson doesn't have it.
You'll also get no value from Montreal for Broberg. Better to move him somewhere that needs LHD where he will have a chance to develop. You may get a similar player in another position (perhaps a 3rd line winger project).
Not getting into value because the trade is flawed at its root for reasons you may not have considered.

I hate those "week to week" or "indefinite" injuries where you have no idea if the player is gonna return 100% ever. That would be a huge blow to the reconstruction project.</div></div>

The Leafs are not prying Toews from the Avs , a current top 10 D in the entire league for just TJ Brodie lol.
Nor could the Leafs afford a Toews extension even if this somehow magically happened , they'd be giving up picks and prospects to make the value work for Toews just to lose him as a rental when he signs with the Avs as a free agent again. If you didn't know Toews has stated multiple times now that he wants to finish his career with the Avs and is willing to take a pay cut to make that happen, The odds of the Avs trading him should be 0%, they will trade Manson and/or Girard though assuming the Leafs aren't one of the teams on their limited no trade list.

I think with the way KH has impressed thus far, Mr. Molson likely loosens all reigns until further notice. Not like MTL has shallow pockets anyway.

Unless Montreal get win a lottery pick Anaheim have absolutely no interest in that. And if MTL get the 1st or 2nd pick they won’t trade it for Zegras. Drafting Eiserman or Celebrini would be better long term.

Slaf and Guhle aren't really prospects anymore (IMO a prospect is anyone eligible to win the Calder Trophy) Guhle and Slaf played more than 40 games so they should be considered full-time players not prospects. Also even if you consider Guhle a prospect he is not below Hutson at all.

There's literally no incentive to retain in Dvorak. Just play him as the 3C until Beck or Kapanen or whatever youngster is ready. Until then though leave him be unless some team comes in and offers a trade Hughes can't turn down

Boston could slip a good bit this season and still make the playoffs. But maaaan, that center line-up went from top tier to oof real fast. I know they're not done yet, but they need to get on that quick.

No. Given where Minny is, it is impossible. Not even Tom Cruise would pull that off.
The Wild have 3 goalies: Gustavsson (RFA), Fleury (will be UFA) and Wallstadt (arguably the best of the 3).
2024-25, it is safe to say with $14 million in dead cap, Wallstadt is making that team, unless his season completely nosedives - which is unlikely as his numbers look an aweful lot like this guy named Wolf...
I am not a Wild fan at all, but I can tell you that trade is flat out terrible. Beyond terrible. It's so bad Wild fans can't be bothered to bring out the pitchforks.... and that is IF Monahan is a PPG healthy player.

-Just what Mike Grier wants to do: he'll retain $4M in a Karlsson trade, retain $1M on Labanc, and bring in Tyler Myers to fill in the RD depth chart. Why devote $11M in your cap space to the reigning Norris Trophy winner when you can give it to Tyler Myers instead??
-Why is a rebuilding Montreal team giving up a 3rd for a veteran in his walk year? Habs pass.
-Josh Norris had 35 goals in his last healthy season, is 24 years old, and is signed through the next 7 years (the rest of his presumed prime). Your offer for him includes: a C "prospect" who had 16 points in 68 GP last year; a goalie who put up .871/3.99 GAA last season; a 24 year old LHD who couldn't beat out Riley Stillman for playing time last year, and the last 2x$6.65M of a winger who might match Norris' scoring this year and next but that's about it. It's not the worst offer I've seen, but it's 100% a "quantity over quality" deal that only ever gets accepted by EA Sports.

I think Arizona would pass on this. Being generous, that 2nd covers the cost of dumping Armia's 2x$3.4M; meaning you're offering up a 2025 1st/2024 3rd/Struble/Kidney for Keller. I just don't think that's enough for the Coyotes to move a PPG winger who's still only 24 and can conceivably be a part of the new core they're trying to build out there.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Blasphem_Guy</b></div><div>I understand that the CHL protects their 19 yo players from going in the AHL to keep the level of play higher. But for some players, like Beck who plays exactly the AHL style, it seems to impeed their progression towards pro level. Beck has nothing else to prove at junior level.
Also really like your take on Engstrom. Too many people sleeping on him. Already playing against men, as smart as they come. Really liked him in the last juniors for Sweden.</div></div>
I agree with you on Beck. But CHL players were losing revenue from ticket sales so it was agreed to keep 19 year olds in junior. If players make NHL, then money is sent to CHL Teams to offset financial losses.

Who is the best Center that could be traded for with this package
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NMAvsFan</b></div><div>He's an impressive player to be sure. I'd say, in that case, the market value is probably about equal so nobody would have to add. Wouldn't that be something, to see two players like that traded for each other? That never happens but it would be about as earth-shattering as anything I could think of.</div></div>
The Tkahcuk deal is a perfect example of why those trades don’t happen. Calgary looked like they got a steal of a deal swapping Tkachuk for Huberdeau while also getting Weegar, Schwindt, and a 1st. 1 year later and Florida wins the deal by a mile after Huberdeau fell off a cliff. But Calgary could still win the deal if Huberdeau bounces back next year. You have no clue if a guy is truly a superstar or if he’s just putting up numbers because of the guys around him, chemistry, coaching, etc.
