trying to keep everyone no kane or vladdy but it will have to do
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Onlyfairtrades1</b></div><div>Totally wrong. Drury will sign Laffy to a 2-year bridge deal just like he did with Kakko after last season, when all that was said on this forum was "Kakko will get an offer sheet". It's all BS. There will be no offer sheet and he will sign a 2 year deal. They can and will keep both Miller and Laffy along with Kreider and Trocheck, both of which have NMC's anyway.</div></div>
Kakko didnt get an offersheet because, quite frankly, he didn’t deserve one. He was able to sign a marginal deal because that’s what his play earned.
Laf, with minimal playing time, has shown he deserves to be paid 3.5-4M a season. Two straight seasons with 20 goals (close enough last year) and has shown the ability to drive play. That commands fair compensation.
Also if you think MTL isn’t licking their chops trying to bring a hometown kid home, you’re nuts. He fills an area of need and they have the space/capital to make it work. Not saying it will happen because O/S’s rarely do but it wouldn’t shock me the slightest bit

Would not be the end of the world
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GM69</b></div><div>not for just 3 years. At most he'll get 4m for 3 years. Chytil was projected to be the most expensive and signed for under 4.5m for 4 years. Even if they are "equal", taking a year off of that would lower the AAV.
If you "tack on 2-3m AAV", you are also "tacking" on another 3+ years</div></div>
Who said he had to bridge? Why would he take one? He’s the rangers second best defenseman. He’s earned a contract that pays him 5-6 million a year (in my opinion more)- bridge deal or not.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dannibalcorpse</b></div><div>It's a bridge deal for three years. Noah Dobson had a better year in his RFA season last season and signed for 3x$4M on his bridge deal - I would assume K'Andre signs a bridge deal in the $3.5-4M range and kicks the big contract a few years down the road, when the cap situation will work more in his favor.</div></div>
Yeah no, Miller is better than Dobson by a pretty significant margin defensively. The only reason Dobson has better offensive numbers is due to PP opportunity. Miller clears Dobson 10/10. Him getting anything less than 5 million a year is absurd, bridge deal or not

Spit out my coffee looking at that Miller deal. Need to tack on 2-3M to that AAV.

I could not disagree with you more, I think if that were the case the deal would be done already. Also, it’s not really dumb to trade a young piece when the piece you’re acquiring is also young/fits the teams contending deadline

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>papishark</b></div><div>I dont see anyone trading a 2023 first for him sorry. I wouldnt do it, and I doubt you would either</div></div>
That’s a good point. So let me ask you this- because he doesn’t have 2023 first round value, does that mean he doesn’t have first round value at all? Because next year it could be a weak draft and someone offers a first. You’re changing the value of an asset (Muk) based off of something that varies (draft class quality)

He’s been excellent and has proven people wrong time after time. Top 4 potential, big, physical, very good skater. People hate on him because he was a reach at the time, but he’s 21 logging top pair minutes in the KHL. More than a “mid second round value” IMO

No comp, but 26 year old 30 goal 70 pt wingers with term (assuming he signs) are worth three first rounders in my opinion. None of the pieces I mentioned fit our lineup. Get rid of them while they still have value.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sleeparc</b></div><div>Holtz is going to be in there. You NEED Timo and his goals now with Jack out week to week. More leverage for Grier. Timo is sitting pretty at 30 goals, healthy and ready to get 40+ this season. No Holtz, no deal.</div></div>
He’s out for a week max, soft schedule for the rest of February and some cushion in the standings as it relates to a playoff spot. Not as much leverage as you might think.

Gotta start with Holtz and a 1st
I’ve proposed
Holtz
Mukmuhdallin
2023 1st
Then add and subtract pieces for cap purposes. But I feel like this is a solid general framework for a deal

Timo Meier Trade Comps
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NHLfan10506</b></div><div>First, I don’t think Meier goes to NJ. Maybe if done at draft, but highly doubt we do anything big at deadline.
Second, if Holtz was on the block, he would be playing every night in Utica. Not sitting in box. And guys like him don’t get traded. Guys like Meier come along every year. Holtz will be big part of this franchise in years to come.</div></div>
It’s a good point but im not buying that second part of guys like Meier coming around every year. It makes too much sense to go and get him. Fits a huge need has a couple of connects on the team it’s a win win all around

Mukhamadullin makes a lot of sense since he may be blocked and he probably fits SJS's timeline.
The 1st, of course.
But Holtz makes no sense in the deal.</div></div>
Dude, how? Where’s he going to play? He doesn’t have a bottom six game and if Meier gets locked up, we have Bratt Meier Palat Mercer at the wings. Gotta give to get and if the Sharks want Holtz Fitzy better pay up
