what will DS do today
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Gofnut999</b></div><div>All 3 are out of the question. 2 can be done easily enough. But will they? Probably not.</div></div>
knowing sweeney then he'd target crouse and chychrun as they have some term and would address some needs next season as well.

Ullmark for Toffoli

Ullmark to NJD
Center to BOS
Toffoli to 3rd team</div></div>
i did see the rumours swirling a bit about PLD ending up in boston but we don't quite have the cap space to make that work and i don't see Boston giving up ullmark for a rental.

Would require Ullmark and Debrusk to be moved.
To many moving parts to make a couple of them happen.
More likely it will be a rather quiet day but who knows.</div></div>
i'm not sure we have the pieces to get that done to be honest. would be quite the coup if Donny managed to pull that off but as you said have to move Ully, Jake and at least Gryz if not him and Forbort to from the back end to make cap jive.

keep him then, he's not suddenly going to guarantee the Bs a deep playoff run. the fact that he's looking to flipped already reduces his value to everyone else. and coyle is doing just fine the only spot linholm has him beat is faceoff percentage.

Bostons not going to move ullmark just for Toffoli, they will want someone long term if they are moving Ully at the deadline.

projected sweeney deadline moves
the post is mostly satire... i don't know if sweeney even does anything... he's seemingly paralyzed and wants to hoard his defence and not move debrusk or ullmark but wants every key piece out there.

not saying they should or will but anyone with term is going to cost assets we don't have. you could also extend Toffoli as he'd be a good fit next year too

i think if they are looking to move ullmark now LA is a good fit, they could probably take picks and Talbot back and then use the picks to acquire a winger or C from someone else.

without some assets for a trade i don't know if they fill it.. perhaps Hertl but not sure E Lindholm makes it free agency

I’d like to see him back personally and would love to reward him, but I don’t think it happens until we lock down our roster just like with Pasta last year</div></div>
ya i agree. i'm in the bring him back and sign him camp. sure i'd like him to score a little more but he does a lot of other things well enough to earn a contract.

lineups to see before TDL
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bcarlo25</b></div><div>Regarding Forbort - I get it. The thing is, he's missed a lot of time due to injury and I don't think he's gotten into a rhythm yet. I don't think he completely forgot how to play hockey, I just think he needs some time here.
Regarding Shattenkirk - I don't get it. He is what he is, and I think he's done everything and more the bruins wanted from him.
Now, there's one thing that sticks out from this lineup as utterly insane - scratching Danton Heinen. He has been so good...you're going to have to explain that one.</div></div>
i like heinen too it's more to get a look with Lysell and Brazeau and Beecher. as soon as something doesn't jive Heinen is back in, it wasn't meant to be a long term thing just to see the other kids in the lineup for a game and more specifically Lysell to see if he can add a bit of a scoring punch so Sweeney doesn't go out and look to trade for a winger.

probably a successful offseason

for sure, i just don't see a trade for a legit #1 and i don't think Bs go to 9M for E.Lindholm. in this instance they could trade Ully for picks or FWD scoring help.

Cause this doesn't look like it'd make much sense for either team imo.</div></div>
i just threw in random pieces not really knowing what Nashville might want back. it's not really the deal i think we'd see but Seravali suggested he thinks Bs will be calling about Carrier and Trenin so i wanted more to see the fit in the lineup more than anything.

ya to be fair i'm not sure what the return would be, forbort is included to balance cap hit but can also be flipped again for another pick. i don't mine trenin for the Bs but Carrier probably cost more than they would be willing to give up and they need help on the left side it seems more than the right side at the moment.

Backlund just resigned and has a NMC i don't know that he wants to be on the move so probably blocks the trade. I think the Bs seriously consider that for Hanifin but maybe tweak the value of the pick and drop the retention.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BruinsWoahWoah</b></div><div>IMO Bruins should keep Debrusk and extend him</div></div>
I agree, i like Jake but the TDL is getting closer and they don't seem to have made any progress. i'd hate for it to spill into the offseason where he decides he doesn't like how it was handled and then takes a deal somewhere else. i'd sign him now personally and then focus on the center and D position in the offseason.

do they move JD
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Gofnut999</b></div><div>Edmonton does not have the cap space.
Something along the lines of Debrusk/Zboril for Holloway/Broberg/Ceci or Kulak for cap purposes. Then flip Broberg/Ceci with a 1st for Hanifan. That would make some sense for all parties.</div></div>
not sure they go fo Hanifin (via trade or UFA) just based on where they likely want to slot in Lorhei ... if you sign Hanifin you have two 20+ min guys on the left so does Lorhei only play 15 mins a night for the next 7 years?
