<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChiHawk</b></div><div>Sammy sucks. His stats rank last of out starting goalies this season and even behind backups in save %. Goaltending and defense is what is needed in the playoffs and both are weak spots for the Leafs. If one is bad, it makes the other look bad and in the case of the Leafs, both aren't great.</div></div>
And thats why I say to people the fixation on one goalie when there are a multitude of factors be a problem
This teams got enough and is why I want them to go spend on defense next season then go bring back Bertuzzi and Domi lul
Sammy at least with **** numbers can win a series just ask TBL but yea is he a full solution no.

I mean you're just flat out wrong. Saros is without a doubt a top goalie in this league. Having him would make a HUGE difference. Literally just look at Swayman last night. Toronto was battering the Bruins for large chunks of time, but Swayman shut it down.
Saros is a perennial Vezina candidate and would immediately be one of the best goalies in Maple Leafs history

Huh?
Hagens may be better than Celebrini right now!
(also Celebrini is not "extremely high-end defensively",..or at least has not shown it at NCAA level. His usage in college was heavily in offensive situations).

lol. Is your sole purpose on this website to propose awful trades involving CHI? Because you seem to do it an incessant amount. I wouldn't even give up Anderson alone for Georgiev, let alone adding two of our top 15 prospects on top of it. If CHI decides to give up on Soderblom, which I personally believe would be premature, I could maybe see them having some interest in Georgiev, but they aren't paying much, if anything, for him.

Lol, just brutal.
Georgiev is not needed with Mrazek signed for two more seasons. Mrazek’s numbers were better playing on a worse team.
So not only does Georgiev not fill a need, as others have mentioned you want Chicago to throw in two of their top 15 prospects, including their top goaltending prospect…. Wow!

No Big Acquisitions Yet Watch and Wait for 2025 Off-Season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JK74</b></div><div>Gignac and Norlinder would be of zero interest to Chicago and Ylönen is just a guy at this point that'll never crack a legit top six. So essentially the trade is Dach for a 2nd and 5th which seems decent value. Chicago is high on him but he has the same issues his brother has with staying healthy. When he is healthy though he's a very effective power forward. I don't hate this trade minus the three players headed Chicago's way but I think they decline in hopes that Dach can stay healthy.</div></div>
Yeah, these kind of quality vs quantity trades don’t occur with prospects like Dach. Theres not many comparables, and obviously the jabs fans want him because his last name is Dach, but if they want him I’m going to stick with an overpayment price of a first round pick.
For the record I think Colton Dach will be a better pro than Kirby Dach, not as skilled, but more effective in what is likely a middle six role. I think he makes the team next year on a third line role.

I can’t see the Hawks moving Dach at this time unless they are overwhelmed by an offer and while this offer is probably close, I don’t think it overwhelms Davidson.

Time to Go - Kevy
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hawksguy81</b></div><div>$5.4m per. Buffalo is retaining.</div></div>
I missed that since it followed the comment about Krebs.
Honestly still don’t think I would accept. I think culture setters are needed and while Skinner is definitely skilled, he has no track record of team success. Is he another one of these players Foligno mentioned this week that are unwilling to sacrifice for team success?
Personally I would go hard after a guy like Teravainen, I know he doesn’t come with the 2nd round pick offered here and the fourth line centre (Krebs) but he plays a more complete game, has won a cup and been a big part of a contending team the past few season in Carolina. In my opinion this is a much better use of financial assets.

Krebs and a flip of 2nd round picks is no where near close enough to get any team to take on Skinner and his three remaining seasons at $9m per.

I think that there's very little chance anyone is going to give you a second-round draft pick for Ilya Mikheyev. A fourth, maybe, but I doubt that it will be a team that has six LWs under team control for next season already.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NHLfan10506</b></div><div>What would be the legit price?
$6m x 1 year following an injury season.
Last trade was for two AHLers, previous trade was for Bjork/2nd.
Production has dropped considerably.
I would think a B-prospect and mid-round pick...maybe a bit more if salary was retained.</div></div>
Well, along the lines of what I said before, I think the plan is to let him play a healthy season next to Bedard and figure the rest out at the trade deadline. I doubt there is a price until then, unless some kid forces their way onto the NHL roster in camp and he ends up being the odd man out.

Yeah, maybe. But, why would he have accepted a trade to CHI in the first place, then? Either way, CHI doesn't need any more mid or late round picks. So, if he "wants to win", he can try to have a great season, get his value up, and get some trade interest at next seasons deadline.
