Doing the Kainerov
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jhmarrio</b></div><div>I dont understand the Sharangovich trade for New Jersey... they had him scratched last year during playoffs didnt they? Plus Calgary loves this guy.
Tanev value is right where I would think. I had thought that perhaps they could land a late round 1st, but I dont think its likely. But a couple picks in the second/third round could be doable. Thanks for the post - some cool ideas! :)</div></div>
I never liked that trade either.
Yegor is a young two way forward with good speed, great shot and he was also good on the PK; sure he had regressed that one year but he wasnt bad by any means..
He played some games in the first round against the rangers but I dont think he played in the second round at all.
Tyler Toffoli is really as good as advertised when he is in the offensive zone but he doesnt do much of anything in the other two zones, same goes for Meier.
The Devils added more offense all though they didnt have much trouble scoring before those transactions, and they're now playing two rookie defenders and have a huge questionmark in net.
So looking back this trade that was regarded lopsided for the Devils bye most people looks to be way more even, maybe even slighlty favouring the Flames.

What would be the market for selling Dougie
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ecupirate07</b></div><div>Any team acquiring Dougie would regret it. M
He is slowing and injury prone. He is 2 years from being an boat anchor</div></div>
Well he had a career year last year, and scored an overtime game winner in the playoffs.
While he may be injury prone, I dont think hes slowing down yet..

Off menu goalies
I would take that russian rangers goalie, I already know his first name..
On second thought cant we just trade for the rags goalie coach?!
Rogalski and 2nd for whoever it is that works his black magic on goaltenders over there..

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pretzelcoatl</b></div><div>I'd just trade Walsh, get whatever we can for him. He needs NHL ice now but imo odds are Nemec is better next year</div></div>
I agree on trying to see if you can move Walsh for smth as I dont think he has a path to play RD in New Jersey and he will probably wanna move on aswell.
Not sure on his value at all, Siegenthaler was blocked but played way more NHL games in Washington and only got a 3rd and I dont think Walsh has that kind of value to a GM in the league..

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pretzelcoatl</b></div><div>Bahl/Okhotiuk/Smith next year, and Vilén the following year. Possibly Muk if they don't switch him to the right side.</div></div>
If the D core next year looks like this:
Siegenthaler Hamilton
Hughes Marino
Bahl Smith / Nemec
success really would depend on if Hughes or Nemec Makar their way into this league which I dont think is a fair expectation.
Also Bahl will probably be a good bottom pair D Man one day but I am not so sure it will be next year...
One way or another they will have to bring in another capable defenseman until the D prospects are ready for a top 4 role.
Im not sure Graves would come cheap at all... Severson will be 29 and looking for a long term deal....
Using assests to bring in Chychryun for 2 and a half years and using the cap for a probable UFA superstar winger would make for a fun 2 years until the 12 million cap hit makes everything a headache..

I see my fellow Devilsfans are not high on the idea of trading for Chyrcrhurhun so he can take on the role of a Top 4 D for a couple years until the cap (fingers crossed) goes up again..

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>xercuses</b></div><div>Mercer who’d fs have to comeback
I assume they ask for like Mercer, 23 first, and nemec
Which idk if NJD would be willing to give up</div></div>
I dont think Kyrou would be available unless Blues are having another dissapointing season and even then I wouldnt be sure they would want to trade the guy
who plays on Thomas wing...
As far as value goes I have a hard time seeing the Devils trade Nemec anytime soon, because if thats what it takes to grab a 1st line winger they would probably stick with
what they have as long as they keep scoring goals...
This whole acgm was just to see how good it would look like to have a winger like Kyrou on the Devils anyways..

Prospect rankings
good stuff
When it comes to Holtz I think his skating has become adequate, besides his great shot he also has underrated playmaking ability but
he just looks absolutely lost when he is in his own zone and cant seem to win a boardbattle in the offensive zone.
Thats why I would not agree on him having good hockey IQ, because thats what seems to me is what is keeping him out of the lineup..

I guess it would not be a smart thing to do that.
But hell for Pete I would do it and I would even tell the canucks front office who they will have to bribe in order to win the lottery this year...

well considering age and term I think its reasonable for the bottom 6, schenn is like an insurance plan for if nemec isnt ready but I can imagine a lot of teams
will be after him in the summer..
goalie market is out of controll, but I cant see them going into another season with blackwood or with vanecek and a good but still very young schmid...

not trolling just using a tool to create a lineup id like to see.
I do realize theres like zero percent chance this would happen but honestly all those other wingers who seem available
and are reoccuring in these devils agms do nothing for me.
Id rather hold onto that 20 year old winger we drafted and see if he can take another step..
